Seaside Le Mans, The Race for the Cape Cod Community, has been raising money for local charitable organizations since 2001 and making a difference each day in the lives of thousands of Cape Cod residents.

In 2026, the race will surpass $10 million in total funds raised, with all the money staying on Cape Cod.

Our 2025 beneficiaries have been busy since the 24th edition of the race in September and we wanted to check in with them to see how the donations from Seaside Le Mans have been impacting the people they serve.

Parents Supporting Parents

Their goal with Seaside Le Mans funding was to continue their mission of supporting families coping with substance abuse disorders.

Since receiving Seaside Lemans funding, the organization has directly provided 26 new Sober Living Scholarships. Those scholarships provide life-changing access to stable recovery housing for individuals who otherwise lack eligibility for municipal funding. Year-to-date they have provided just under 500 scholarships.

According to organization leaders, the continued partnership with Seaside Lemans has strengthened PSP’s ability to respond to the increasing needs of individuals and families affected by Substance Use Disorder on Cape Cod. The investment directly expanded their reach and supports residents across the Cape & Islands who fall outside the scope of municipal grant funding.

Cape Cod Healthcare

The mission of Cape Cod Healthcare is to coordinate and deliver the highest quality, accessible health services to all Cape Cod residents and visitors. In May of 2025, the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center opened in a new location – The Edwin Barbey Patient Care Pavilion at Cape Cod Hospital. This $215 million dollar project allowed CCHC to greatly upgrade the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center with state-of-the-art technology and 36 private infusion bays for chemotherapy treatment.

Since its opening, there has been a 20% increase in volume for those choosing to have their cancer treatments without going over the bridge.

Funding from Seaside Le Mans helped address the significant increase in demand for cancer services, including dietary support, massage, acupuncture, cooling caps for chemo treatments or travel/food gift cards – all of which provide a wholistic approach to treating cancer.

Fishing for the Mission 22

Fishing for the Mission 22 raises awareness of the 22 veterans lost to suicide each day in the U.S. They offer therapeutic fishing trips that provide healing and offer mental and behavioral health services.

The money they received from the 2025 Seaside Le Mans has made a significant impact on the ability to increase their offerings.

The organization held four fishing rod building clinics at the center, with four veterans attending each month over three days to craft their own custom rods. They purchased three electric bikes for the center, enabling veterans, active-duty members, first responders, and their families to ride together.

Fishing for the Mission 22 also used Seaside Le Mans money to allocate $5,000 to the veteran nonprofit Lift for a Veteran to install two electric stair lifts in local veterans’ homes.

They were also able to serve close to 300 veterans and active-duty personnel Thanksgiving meals and expanded their mental health offerings.

Cape Kid Meals

Cape Kid Meals addresses childhood hunger on Cape Cod by providing reliable access to nutritious food for children in need and partnering with schools to support students facing food insecurity.
Thanks to the 2025 Seaside Le Mans funding, they are now serving more than 2,400 students each week across their three core initiatives—the Weekend Backpack Program, School Pantry, and School Snack Programs.

The support from Seaside Le Mans has been instrumental in helping them meet an unprecedented level of need while expanding their reach and increasing their impact.

Cape Kid Meals was also able to expand their Weekend Backpack Program, now providing over 1,030 bags each week—a 20% increase from last year and enhance their existing school-based pantry programs and launch new pantries in high-need schools.

Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Junior Theatre

The Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Junior Theatre is a multi-generational, educational, community theatre in their 74th season, offering year-round educational programming and live performances accessible to all.

Funding from the 2026 Seaside Le Mans allowed them to offer multiple avenues for free and steeply discounted tickets to their year-round season of 10 plays and musicals, including five shows in the Page-to-Stage series.

They welcomed over 2,000 local students – from kindergarten through high school, Provincetown to Sandwich – to school matinee performances. For many, this was their first experience of live theatre. That was an increase of over 42% from 2024.

The group also expanded their apprenticeship program, elevating the training pathway for emerging designers and production staff.

And in addition to expanding their summer food program for kids, they were able to increase their scholarship program by 76%.

All of us at Seaside Le Mans – The Race for the Cape Cod Community are thrilled to see the work being done by the 2025 beneficiaries. They have clearly been making an immediate impact in the lives of people across Cape Cod – and we can’t wait to see what they will accomplish in the future! Be sure to support them in all the great work they do for the Cape Cod community!
